注水器

注水器は蒸気機関 に搭載されている装置で、水槽 からボイラー に水を供給するために使用します。これにより適正な水位 を維持します。
通常は、弁を開閉することで操作します。

水槽内の水は冷たいため、これをボイラーに注入すると、すでにボイラーに入っている水の温度が下がり、更には蒸気が凝縮して水に戻る可能性があります。
これにより大幅な圧力低下が生じる可能性があるため、少量ずつ、適切なタイミングで注水することを推奨します。

There is no way to monitor water temperature, other than indirectly by looking at the speed the boiler pressure gauge needle is moving.

Injectors normally rely on steam pressure to inject water, but in Derail Valley this limitation is omitted to avoid complications when starting a cold engine.
