W zbiorniku głównym zawsze powinno być wysokie ciśnienie, do 8 barów, i jest automatycznie uzupełniane przez sprężarkę. Ciśnienie robocze w przewodzie głównym wynosi od 3,5 bara przy pełnym zahamowaniu do 5 barów po całkowitym odhamowaniu (ponieważ manometry wskazują ciśnienie względem ciśnienia atmosferycznego, ciśnienie bezwzględne jest o około 1 bar wyższe niż to wskazane na manometrze). Ciśnienie w cylindrach hamulcowych mieści się w zakresie od 0 do 3,75 bara i odzwierciedla rzeczywistą siłę hamowania wywieraną na koła.
