多机作业
在《脱轨山谷》中,有两种类型的多机作业(简称多机)。"原厂"的多机是多个机车永久连接的设计,例如蒸汽机车和煤水车,或多节旅客运输车。"线缆"的多机是司机通过手动连接线缆的方式,使用多机作业线缆进行连接。
一些机车辆配备了“线缆”多机插头,每端都有一根蓝色电缆。这个电缆可以与另一辆车辆的多机电缆通过握手方式连接,类似于空气软管的连接方式。当机车进行多机作业连接时,它们会作为整体一起运行,由单个机车驾驶室中的单个司机控制,就像它们是同一辆机车一样。该功能适用于某些电力机车、柴电机车和柴液机车或动车组。为了使多机连接正常工作,每个车辆都必须启动其发动机和断路器。
Such vehicles can also be equipped with wireless MU controller gadgets , which let them sync at distance, without the use of cables.
When multiple-units are connected, whether by cable or wirelessly, they operate in unison, all controlled by a single driver, as if they were a single vehicle. This feature is available on some electric , diesel-electric and diesel-hydraulic motorized vehicles. The vehicles need to have their engines and breakers turned on individually for the MU connection to function properly.
It is allowed to have some vehicles in MU configuration oriented differently from others. In such a case their reverser automatically adapts to the desired direction of travel. Headlights and taillights automatically adapt in MU configurations, too.
注意,不同类型的机车重连可能会导致机车状态不同步,部分机车可能会出现过热、打滑等问题。这些问题的仪表指示灯会通过信号线同步到各个驾驶室中。
