Poor traction quality can lead to the wheels of motorized rail vehicles slipping, if too much torque is delivered. Even minor wheelslip greatly reduces acceleration, and may cause major damage to the wheels.

In case of wheelslip, it is necessary to immediately reduce throttle and potentially improve traction using a sander, where applicable.

Installing an anti-wheelslip computer gadget allows immediate automatic throttle and sander regulation to minimize the wheelslip.
