When crossing a switch from the diverging end, it needs to be aligned to the desired direction of travel. When crossing it in the opposite direction, however, the switch doesn't need to be aligned. It will automatically change to the track that the crossing wheels are coming from.

Switches are moveable pieces of track designed to steer rail vehicles in one of two possible directions. Depending on the session difficulty settings , switches can be operated in many ways:

When crossing a switch from the diverging end, it needs to be aligned to the desired direction of travel. When crossing it in the opposite direction, however, the switch doesn't need to be aligned. It will automatically change to the track that the crossing wheels are coming from.

Existem dois tipos de sinais associados aos AMVs: os anunciadores e os de navegação.

O sinal de anúncio tem um formato de “Y” vermelho em um fundo branco, indicando uma próxima mudança à frente e o final da seção de limite de velocidade atual. Ele tem um sinal de apêndice branco embaixo, indicando a distância restante até a chave, em quilômetros. Por exemplo, uma distância de 400m seria marcada como "0,4".

O sinal de navegação está localizado no próprio AMV. Ele mostra uma linha branca diagonal em um fundo vermelho, indicando a direção para a qual o AMV está definido. Alterar a chave moverá o sinal para apontar em uma direção diferente, junto com o alinhamento da via.
