Similarly to body damage on locomotives , cars and cargo can be damaged by collisions, fire or getting submerged in water.
Different cars and cargo types have different resilience to different types of damage, which may make some exceptionally durable or fragile. Particularly sensitive cargo types are those requiring the Fragile license , which includes HAZMAT cargo .
