Hamulce to urządzenia w pojazdach szynowych, służące do spowalniania, zatrzymywania lub utrzymywania ich w bezruchu. Istnieje kilka różnych typów hamulców, które występują w lokomotywach i wagonach, a każdy jest przeznaczony do innego zastosowania. Każdy z nich jest obsługiwany przez osobne urządzenie sterujące, zwykle dźwignię lub korbę, które może znajdować się wewnątrz kabiny lub na zewnątrz pojazdu.
