Vehicle catalog is an item in the form of a book that gives an overview of basic characteristics of all motorized rail vehicles and work trains in Derail Valley. It lists various ratings, properties and features of each vehicle type, including its powertrain type, helping better understand its role and how to best use it.

This item is acquired at the very start of the session, and can be force-retrieved if lost, using the inventory.

For each vehicle model, provided that Derail Valley Railworks and Transportation company owns it, there’s information about where it can be found. This is portrayed through a row of colored rectangles, each matching a specific station’s color code, as they're found on the station map , for example. If a vehicle is always found at a location, it is underlined with a green line. If there’s a greater than 50% chance to be found at the location it is underlined with a yellow line. If the chance is lower, there is no underline. If the vehicle never spawns at a particular location, it is grayed out.

The catalog shows the list of required licenses to operate each vehicle, with prices of each license listed next to each other. Perhaps the most frequently used information is the recommended load rating (hauling tonnage) that can be found for each vehicle in different grade and weather (traction ) conditions.

This item is provided to you by DVRT at the start of your career, and can be force-retrieved if lost, using the inventory.
