Wipers

Windshield wipers are devices designed to wipe windshields from accumulating material that hinders visibility, such as rain droplets . On most vehicles they are powered by electricity , and may have adjustable speed settings. On steam engines they are usually pneumatic , and sometimes even operated by hand.

Some vehicles do not have wipers at all. Instead, they have windows that can be opened for better visibility.
