If the driver wishes to dismiss a motorized rail vehicle they are free to park it on any tracks designated for parking. Such motorized vehicles remain in place for some time before they are removed.

The cars, on the other hand, should be left wherever their delivery order indicates they should be, to avoid unnecessary track blockage.

In case of having to leave a train in an emergency, for example due to a derailment, the driver is free to do so. The derailed train will be automatically removed if it contains no cars with an active order and the driver leaves the area. However, if one of its cars does have an active order the train will remain on the spot. In that case, the driver is free to go and bring another locomotive to the rescue, cancel the order, take other jobs to earn money for rerailing, or anything else.

Additionally, the driver is able to manually remove the cars using the “clear” option on the comms radio. Doing so, however, cancels the relevant delivery order and may cost money, depending on the session difficulty settings. In the career mode, it’s recommended to use this function only in an emergency.

Cars that have no order assigned will be removed as soon as the driver moves out of sight.
