Order Types Overview
Delivery orders are assignments that the railway company DVRT gives to its train drivers. They describe details about cargo and cars that need to be moved across the railway network . Completing these orders rewards you with payments , and if done within the time bonus deadline , even greater ones. Delivery orders have unique IDs that can be used to differentiate them.
There are a few different types of delivery orders:
- Freight Haul - Deliver cargo from one station to another
- Shunting - Organize cars and cargo within a station
- Logistical Haul - Move empty cars between stations
Delivery orders are found in station offices in the form of order overview documents, laid on desks. Validating these documents provides you with an order book, which contains all details and instructions required to complete the order . Active orders can also be canceled and, in case an order book is lost, it can also be retrieved .
Delivery orders are created when you approach a station. Similarly, orders that you didn't validate are deleted when you leave the station far enough. This happens in order to make room for other station's orders and not clog the supply chain. If you want to ensure an order won't get removed, validate it.
In case of damage to cars and cargo of a particular order, fees for it will be tracked under that order's ID.
