Gevaarlijke stoffen

Gevaarlijke stoffen-vergunningen stellen machinisten in staat om opdrachten aan te nemen van materialen die gevaarlijker worden geacht voor de directe omgeving of de ruimere omgeving dan andere bij een calamiteit. Er zijn drie niveaus van gevaarlijke stoffen-lading, die tevens een afzonderlijke vergunning vereisen.

• Tier 1 - Flammable , asphyxiating and oxidizing materials
• Tier 2 - Explosive , corrosive and toxic materials
• Tier 3 - Biohazardous and radioactive materials

HAZMAT licenses need to be acquired successively, and require you to already own the Fragile license, which allows transporting cargo that is highly sensitive to collisions .
