Boombox Customization

Before customizing the boombox , please note that, as per the End User License Agreement (EULA), doing any modifications to Derail Valley is at your own risk. Looking for files on the internet is potentially dangerous and should only be done by advanced users.
Adding radio stations
This allows you to reference additional radio stations from the internet, and play them via the boombox radio feature.
- Download a playlist file (.pls or .m3u) from your favorite online radio station’s website
- Open a music player app (such as Winamp or AIMP)
- Add downloaded playlist files to it and save them to a new playlist named Radio.pls in …\Derail Valley\DerailValley_Data\StreamingAssets\music\
- Supported radio station formats are MP3 and OGG. Note that the OGG streams will work only if the letters “ogg” are contained in the station’s URL.
Adding cassette music as audio files
This allows you to add audio files to Derail Valley, and play them via the boombox cassettes feature.
- Go to: …\Derail Valley\DerailValley_Data\StreamingAssets\music\
- Create folders named “Playlist_01” through “Playlist_10”
- Drop your audio files into the respective playlist folders
- Supported audio file formats are MP3, OGG and WAV
- Cassettes P1-10 will play content from respective folders
Adding cassette music as a playlist file
This allows you to reference files in Derail Valley located elsewhere on your PC, and play them via the boombox cassettes feature.
- Open a music player (such as Winamp or AIMP)
- Add audio files to it and save them to a new playlist
- Name the playlist “Playlist_01” through “Playlist_10”
- Drop your playlist file to: …\Derail Valley\DerailValley_Data\StreamingAssets\music\
- Supported playlist formats are PLS and M3U
- Cassettes P1-10 will play the respective playlists
Tip – If you own our Dev Support OST music album, you can add it to a playlist cassette to play it in-game.
