Duct tape is a tool item used to loosely secure mounts , by taping them onto a surface.

The advantage of taping over drilling is that it’s quicker, and taped mounts can be easily removed by hand, without the use of a hammer , and leaving no drill holes behind. Duct tape is vastly cheaper than the drill, and moreover, mounts can be taped onto any surface.

However, loosely secured mounts fall off in case of a vehicle collision. Duct tape is also a consumable item, with a limited number of uses.
