The Boombox radio feature works by playing real-life radio stations over the internet.
To play the radio using the boombox, the driver needs to set the mode knob to “Radio”. Then, using the tune knob, they can choose the radio station they would like to play.
Available stations are those listed in the Radio.pls file. Derail Valley comes with a few partner stations preinstalled, but can be modified to contain virtually any number of online radio stations. Refer to the boombox customization tab for more information.
Derail Valley simulates radio signal quality fluctuations. The driver must make sure to raise the antenna on the boombox for the best signal reception and signal is lost in tunnels. Radio signal loss features can be disabled in audio settings.
