Tracks with IDs are station tracks with unique addresses. These addresses allow them to be referred to in delivery orders , as well as to navigate to them with station maps .
Other than in books, track IDs are also shown on physical signs. Track ID signs are pole-mounted structures found on the right side of the respective tracks, on their both ends, designed to inform of their ID. Regardless of the signs' position, however, the tracks span the entire section from switch to switch.
O último caractere no ID da faixa serve para indicar a finalidade da respectiva faixa. Pode ser:
I - Input
I – Entrada:
É aqui que chegam as entregas de transporte de carga.
O - Output
O - Saída:
É daqui que partem as entregas de transporte de carga.
S - Storage
S – Armazenamento:
É aqui que os carros vazios são armazenados para entregas de manobras (carga e descarga) e transporte de vagões.
L - Cargo Transfer
L – Transferência de Carga:
É aqui que os carros são carregados e descarregados, usando a máquina de transferência de carga.
LP - Passenger Transfer
LP – Linha de Passageiros:
Trata-se de uma via com plataforma de onde saem os passageiros e correspondências.
SP – Armazenamento de Passageiros:
É aqui que os carros e vagões de passageiros estão estacionados.
