Work trains are privately owned rail vehicles that can be acquired and used in addition to those provided by DVRT . They are:

For some of the work trains to become available, you need to buy keys to special garages in shops , find the garages and unlock them. For others, such as private locomotives , the process is different. Once acquired, work trains can be used freely, and never despawn . If a work train is cleared with comms radio , it will go back to its default parking location.

Being privately owned, work trains don’t go through the insurance system . Instead, they need to be serviced manually .

Work trains are typically able to be requested anywhere using the comms radio , sometimes for a fee .
