The body of a rail vehicle can get damaged from collisions, harsh shunting , severe powertrain failures that cause parts to fly apart, fire and even explosions . Body damage may result in electrical systems failure, making lights , wipers , compressor and other electrical features dysfunctional. It doesn't otherwise affect the moving capability of a vehicle.
Damage can be forced manually in sandbox mode using the comms radio damage mode .
