The lantern is a weak, handheld omnidirectional light source. It requires a lighter to be turned on. There is a knob on the side that controls the dipping of the wick in oil. This drives the light intensity and is also used to put the lantern out.
The lantern should be handled with care, as it could ignite flammable fumes or liquids in its vicinity.
