To dismiss a motorized rail vehicle park it on a non-blocking track , such as one designated for vehicle parking . Such dismissed vehicles, if they are owned by DVRT , remain in place for two real-time hours before they despawn.

Cars, on the other hand, should only be left wherever their delivery order indicates they should be, to avoid unnecessary blockage of tracks and order generation.

In case of an emergency, such as a train derailment , you are free to abandon the train and look for helper vehicles, pursue other orders to earn money for rerailing , or do anything else. In case the derailed cars are bound to an active order, they will remain in place permanently. If the order is canceled , however, the cars will despawn as soon as you make some distance from them.

Cars can also be cleared immediately with the comms radio. Doing so, however, cancels the respective delivery order and may cost money, depending on the session difficulty settings . In career mode , it is not recommended to use this feature unless it is necessary.
