The gadget features a setting that lets you specify an interval at which the alertness check will occur. Once the vehicle is in motion and the set timer has counted down, the gadget will start producing an alerting sound. You then have 5 seconds to hit the check button, which will reset the timer. If you fail, the automatic train stop device will apply emergency brakes on the vehicle.
