On vehicles that need lubrication there are parts of their drivetrain that can only be lubricated manually.
They usually have small oil cups scattered around. Opening the caps reveals the oil level in each cup. The cups need to be individually refilled, using an oiler . The caps are then closed, to prevent oil from spilling out.
