生涯模式是围绕玩家进步展开的游戏模式。在该模式下，玩家从基本设备开始，并需要通过驾驶火车完成运单，以赚取金钱并获得新的执照和物品，同时尽量减少费用开支带来的损失。

在创建生涯模式游戏时，用户可以选择启用教程，介绍游戏的基本操作。

解锁所有的执照则生涯模式完成。

Initially you may only select among the default difficulty presets for your career sessions. After making minor progress, however, you are free to select custom difficulty presets, too.

To help with playing career mode, you may want to familiarize yourself with the train driving efficiency guidelines .

Alternatively, there is also a sandbox mode .
