Licenses are the means of growing your career as a train driver in Derail Valley. They allow you to take better paying delivery orders , and use better locomotives , among other things. Licenses can be bought at career manager machines , with the money earned from completed orders .
There is a caveat, however - the more licenses you own, the more you need to pay for your fees . Licenses increase your copay , as well as the time bonus deadline . Available licenses to buy are:
- Shunting - Gives access to shunting type delivery orders .
- Logistical Haul - Gives access to logistical haul type delivery orders .
- Train Length 1/2 - Gives access to delivery orders involving long trains.
- Concurrent Jobs 1/2 - Allows taking multiple delivery orders at once.
- Fragile - Gives access to delivery orders involving sensitive cargo.
- Dispatcher - Allows setting switches remotely using route and station maps .
- Manual Service - Allows vehicles to be serviced manually .
