There are a few subsystems on rail vehicles that can get damaged individually:
- Body damage
- Mechanical Powertrain Damage
- Electrical Powertrain Damage
- Wheels & Brakes Damage
- Cars & Cargo Damage
These subsystems are usually bound to fees, and their state can be seen either on a career manager, at a service point, or, depending on difficulty settings, in driving UI. Body damage and cars & cargo damage can also be seen on vehicles' ID plates.
Each of the subsystems can also be serviced individually.
