Career is a game mode that revolves around user progression. In it, the user starts with basic equipment and needs to complete delivery orders by driving trains in order to earn money and obtain new licenses and items , all the while trying to minimize fees .

When creating a career session, the user can select to be given a tutorial that introduces them to the basics of the game.

To complete the career, the user is tasked to buy all available licenses.

Initially the user may only select among the default difficulty presets for their career sessions. After making some progress, however, they are able to select custom difficulty presets too.

Before playing career mode, you may want to familiarize yourself with the train driving best practices .
