Automatic train stop is a safety gadget that serves to stop a train automatically if the driver is unresponsive, and potentially prevent a catastrophe.
The gadget features a setting that lets the driver specify an interval at which they want the alertness check to occur. Once the vehicle is in motion and the set timer has counted down, the gadget will start producing an alerting sound. The driver then has 5 seconds to hit the check button. If they do it, the timer will reset. If they fail to do so, the automatic train stop device will apply emergency brakes on the vehicle.
This gadget requires electrical connections to function.
