Duct tape is a tool item used to loosely secure mounts , by taping them to a surface.

The advantage of taping over drilling is that it’s quicker, and taped mounts can be easily removed by hand, without the use of a hammer , and leaving no drill holes behind. Moreover, mounts can be taped onto any surface.

However, loosely secured mounts fall off in case of a vehicle collision. Also, duct tape is a consumable item, with only several uses.
