The wallet is an item that holds all your money, showing its amount on a small paper slip sticking out. When banknotes are stored to inventory (those received as a delivery order payment, for example), they're automatically added to the wallet.
On machines that prompt you for a transaction, such as at the career managers , service points and shops , simply use the wallet on the money slot to pay.
The wallet is acquired at the very start of the session, and can be force-retrieved if lost, using the inventory.
