Photo mode is a feature designed to aid with taking screenshots and videos. It can be toggled during gameplay via mouse mode UI, or a keyboard shortcut, depending on the session difficulty settings . Enabling photo mode brings up the external view with smoothed camera movement, removes all on-screen UI elements, allows pausing time and adjusting the time of day and weather settings .

Photo mode features can be further adjusted in the settings menu.
