Tool sheds are small buildings found near station offices and your home , serving to store items that don’t need to be carried on person all the time. Items stored in these sheds, including gadget installations , will preserve their position and can be accessed from any other tool shed.

Tool sheds feature a “lost and found” desk where your items will reappear, if lost.

Items left on vehicles won’t automatically be returned to lost and found, as long as those vehicles are present in the world and not derailed .

To store items at a permanent location where items won’t return to lost and found, you can leave them at home or in a caboose .

Tool shed bells can be used to force-retrieve lost items stored in other permanent storages, such as vehicles and your home.
