Selection module is a tall green machine with a display, showing if a serviceable vehicle is in range of the service point and if the driver owns the Manual Service license.

If the driver does own the license and at least one vehicle is in range, depending on the session difficulty settings the module also allows selecting other serviceable vehicles within the same train, for service. This is intended to help with servicing multiple-units.

To be in range for oil, sand and repair services, a serviceable vehicle must be parked on the striped platform in front of the service point.

For diesel and battery-powered vehicles the respective hoses must be plugged into one of the vehicle’s sockets.

For coal and water a vehicle must be parked precisely under the tower chute or pipe, with an open hatch. Water tower might need its rotation adjusted by a manual crank, to match the hatch position.
