Mounts are special items that need to be secured onto a surface to be reliably functional. The most common mounts are various metal brackets designed to hold gadgets, but mounts also include hangers, nameplates and others.
Mounts can be secured in two ways - firmly, by being drilled in with an electric hand drill, or loosely, by being taped with duct tape.
To be secure, a mount only needs two of its holes to be either drilled or taped, regardless of how many holes it has in total.
Mounts come in various shapes and sizes. Those intended to hold gadgets need to roughly fit their dimensions, in order to be compatible.
Firmly secured mounts can be removed using a hammer.
