Private locomotives can have their paint job changed. This is done using a paint sprayer tool loaded with appropriate cans .
For a vehicle to be able to be painted, its current paint must be removed first by spraying a sand can onto it. At its base the vehicle is covered in primer, which can then be sprayed over with new paint.
Bodies and cabs of vehicles are painted separately and can be done in different themes.
In sandbox mode locomotives’ paint jobs can be changed using the comms radio livery mode .
